Half Dome Hike

Finally after almost 4 years in California I had a chance to do the classic Half Dome trail in Yosemite.

Global Village

Interesting stat this morning from the New York Times about Silicon Valley:

"Forty-eight percent of the households of the region speak a language other than English in the home."

I am not surprised. This is one of the reasons this is such a special place. I wonder what what the distribution over the various languages looks like.
